Battery Barnes BCN-240
Twin six-inch armored turret guns

Today Battery 240 sits quietly above Long Point on property used as the Ranch Palos Verde City Hall. The building has been stripped of all it's original equipment and a new concrete slab has been poured over the engine beds in the generator room. The Battery serves a useful function today as a radio beacon for the US Coast Guard.
