Battery Leary-Merriam
14' Gun Battery - HDCP - HECP - Nike IFC
LA-43C - Marine Exchange
Today, Battery Leary - Merriam sits
mostly abandoned, a canvas for local graffiti artists
and vandals. On top of the battery, where the buildings
for the NIKE era structures stand is the new
state-of-the-art home of the
Southern California Marine Exchange and Vessel Traffic
Service. Think of that facility like you would an
air-traffic control tower, but in this case for ships.
The Marine Exchange also provides numerous services for
ships visiting the Port of Los Angeles.
